Two decisive games were registered in Round 6 of the GM tournament held in Poikovsky: Nigel Short lost against Lazaro Bruzon, while Radoslaw Wojtaszek took an upper hand on Viorel Bologan. Both winners were playing with Black.

BOLOGAN - WOJTASZEK

The Polish player had an advantage throughout the entire game, but here the position already equalized: enough would be moving white king on f2 or g2. Bologan made a mistake which turned out to be decisive: 55.Kg4?? Rg3+ 56.Kf5 f3 57.Nxb5 f2 58.Rd7+ Kg8 59.Rd8+ Kg7 60.Rd7+ Kf8 61.Nd6 f1Q+ and so on.  0-1
