Magnus Carlsen, having won in a lengthy and complex battle against Viorel Bologan, improved his tournament standing. Now he's already in the third place and only one three-point win separates him from Wang Hao. In the last half a year, the Norwegian has taught his fans to expect reserved starts and effective finishes. It's possible that he would demonstrate a similar scenario in Biel.

With regards to Viorel Bologan, it's possible to definitively say that the tournament hasn't worked out for him. Four games were full of interesting and intense struggles, but all ended with losses by the Moldavian. It's quite hard to recover after such a series of blows. Let's see if Viorel can keep his fire going and use it to his advantage in the last four rounds.
