Judit Polgar will play again in a super tournament

"After three weeks away, very happy to be with my family on my birthday! I cannot imagine any greater gift", wrote happy Judit Polgar yesterday in her Twitter account. However, she didn't mention another present: her name appeared on the list of the participants on the official site of the fourth London Chess Classic.

Thereby, Judit Polgar will join the company of Magnus Carlsen, Viswanathan Anand, Levon Aronian, Vladimir Kramnik and Michael Adams, who earlier confirmed their participation in the same tournament.

The last time the Hungarian played in an all-play-all super tournament was in Wijk aan Zee in 2008. It happened after she gave birth to her second child and her results were already going down. Soon, organisers of super tournaments started to do away without Judit, who was worried about it; she extended the range of tournament options and started to play in large 'Swisses' among other tournaments. She took bronze at the European Championship last year. Judit's performance at the World Cup 2011 can also be considered successful, where she lost to the future winner Peter Svidler in the quarter final.

There was recently information that  Polgar was invited to the Grand Prix Series 2012/13, but declined it.
