The President of the International Chess Federation (FIDE) Kirsan Ilyumzhinov presented a project Geosocial Games in Kiev, Ukraine.

The details were published on the website Ukrainian Photo. As it was mentioned, the FIDE President is "the sponsor and co-author" of the project. According to Mr. Ilyumzhinov, "Ukrainian experts developed and patented unique technologies due to which anyone will be able to take part in the virtual games - the ones which were traditionally played by two - together with thousands and millions of other participants.  Chess and box will be the main areas of the Geosocial Games. The developers are looking forward to get the audience of 500 million active players during several years."

The website bagnet.org also covered the event: "A virtual program of the intellectual games developed by the programmers from Cherkasy has been presented in Kiev on July 3rd. The primary focus of the system is virtualization of chess, which will make possible such actions as making collective moves, holding matches between different countries, genders, dissimilar social communities. At the presentation Kirsan Ilyumzhinov, the President of the International chess federation, said this is a great technological breakthrough."

Earlier it was announced that Vitali Klischko would also visit the event.

The further information on the project can be found on the website and blog of Geosocial Games.
