In part 2 of a large interview given to Chessvibes, the World Champion Viswanathan Anand shared his current plans.

"The first thing is that I would like to do well in my upcoming tournaments. It's not only other people who have been disappointed about my tournament results last year. I'll play some tournaments this year and I understand that autopilot will not be good enough. I have to do something and in a way that's kind of my goal right now."

The Indian player also thinks that: "...to keep on announcing your comebacks in the press all the time is a bit silly. If you want to show that you're a good player, you should do it at the chess board. It's much more satisfying, first of all, than to keep on repeating a hundred times 'o, I'm gonna play better, I'm gonna play better', it drives me nuts also. I understand that after three failed tournaments people are a bit fed up with my play but at least in this match I think I got the job done. I don't think I was playing particularly badly, I simply think Boris played well."
