Hikaru Nakamura takes the sword

A rest day is announced at London Chess Classic. A three-point system along with unstable play of some participants led to a peculiar standings after four rounds:

Carlsen, McShane -  8 points each
Nakamura - 7
Kramnik - 5
Aronian - 4
Short - 3
Anand, Adams, Howell - 2 points each

Yesterday Anand’s streak of draws was ended due to Nakamura. At the press-conference Hikaru said he wasn’t worried about the outcome of the game against Anand, after his loss to Carlsen, he only wanted to get chances.

In the opening American faced an objectively hard position, however Anand started to mistake, which was used by Nakamura masterfully. A few hours later American twitted:

"Live by the sword and die by the sword. Sometimes I wonder just how many of these games I can play in the KID [Kings Indian Defence] before I die of a heart attack

The organizers of the tournament made an interesting observation, according to which Nakamura became the first ever player who has played against four rivals with the rating of “2800+” (Carlsen, Anand, Aronian and Kramnik) in a row and got a positive result.
