Garry Kasparov and Magnus Carlsen had a secret meeting in Oslo on October 23rd, Norwegian newspaper Verdens Gang reports. Prior to that, Kasparov had been taking part in 2014 Oslo Freedom Forum.

Carlsen, in turn, was supposed to be in Alps preparing for his match vs Anand.

However, it seems that Magnus had planned this return to Oslo beforehand. His manager Espen Agdestein has also confirmed the fact of the meeting.

"We'll just have a dinner together", Kasparov explained to the VG reporter yesterday. "I will also give him some general advise - why not?".

The chess legend has confirmed once again that he is not going to come to Sochi during the match: "Do you want me to disappear in Russia?"
