Prague: Nakamura crushes Navara 3.5 - 0.5

The last game of Navara - Nakamura match was the longest among all other match encounters.

The American player maintained a slight advantage after the opening. According to Navara, he played a silly move 21...Bb8 which made the defence even harder. Up to the 40th move the question was whether Black is able to build a castle without the queen.

NAKAMURA - NAVARA

After the game Hikaru noted that objectively the position might have been a draw. His opponent preferred not to evaluate without thorough analyses.

Apparently, Black can't defend from the plan realized by Nakamura: he exchanged two pawns to open the way to the king.

62.Qa7+ Kxg6 63.Be2! and soon Black resigned.

"My head went all wobbly during the entire match," Czech GM complained after the game. This is what the winner tweeted:

Soon after the closing ceremony the participants and guests had a dinner in one of the Czech restaurants located in the park where once the biggest monument of Stalin stood.
