As we already reported, Magnus Carlsen presented a chess app in Oslo, Norway. During the presentation he played a game against the program facing 14-year-old himself. Check out the photos of the event.

The world champion commented on the game. Namely he was uncertain if he played the opening chosen by the program back when he was 14 years old.

The creators of the program invited the guests to taste the beer "Carlsen" - alcohol content 5.3%.

My impressions of the first playing day in Sochi can be summed up in one sentence: great fuss about a single game of chess. It seems to me that's not the way it should be, ideally.

  • The Russian TV channel "Russia 2" hosts the sports program "All included". One of its most popular projects is the "Girl of the Month" in which the famous sportswomen and show business stars are invited for the interviews and photosets. At the end of each month the website of the channel conducts the voting. Recently Natalia Pogonina became the nominee of the contest.

I have to admit once again that the idea of organizing various side events has been excellent. In the Sochi Media Center, one could never be bored.

Norway has sent many journalists to cover the match. In fact, the Norwegian delegation is the largest here in Sochi.

  • An unusual situation: two world team championships starting on the same day in different corners of the world. The best women's teams are in China, and the best men's in Armenia. What distinguished the opening ceremonies of these two events? Which was shorter, which was prettier?
