Wang Hao - Gelfand encounter of Round 9 of Grand Prix Beijing was the longest finishing quite dramatically. The final part of the game was commentated live on Chess-News by GM Dreev. Gelfand missed a win several already in the endgame already  it was already clear that the draw was inevitable.

WANG HAO - GELFAND

White could place its queen on a1 earlier thus insuring a draw. Now this was move absolutely necessary. Actually no other choice is seen. "Now the Chinese can really mess up," Dreev noted. "In case of 81.Qb2?? Black has 81...Kh1! which leads to win 82.Kc2 Qg2+ 83.Kb3 Qg8+ 84.Kc2 (or 84.Kc3 Qh8+ with а1Q) 84...Qc4+ 85.Kd2 Qf1. There's already no perpetual check: 86.Qh8+ Kg1 87.Qd4+ Qf2+ with exchanging the queens."

So we decided that if Wang Hao plays 81.Qa1 there will obviously be draw and we can go offline.
White played 81.Qb2??
Dreev, "Gee! Sorry, I'm just failing to put up words here. Do they need some Russian experts in China?"
81...Kh1!
Dreev, "Sure, Gelfand never misses something like that."
82.Kc2 Qg2+ 83.Kb3
And here Gelfand suddenly plays 83...Qxe4?? and agrees to a draw. 1/2
Dreev, "Are they crazy? I have no words for this... Just "gee" is not enough here... Boris will be upset. We can only sympathize with him. I hope both players will make fun of this situation, otherwise, you can just turn crazy."
