Alisa Galliamova gained an unusual win against Valentina Gunina in the second Round of the Women's World Championship. According to Alisa, she "blundered" in the opening ("I haven't repeated how should Black reply on 2.Bf4 for a long time already") and wasn't able to do castling already after 6th move.

"I felt upset, - the winner recalled.- I thought: I'm going to lose and eliminate the competition... I had no hope. She played  8.Nf3 quickly and I think that was a mistake. She had to play 8.Qh5 and then castle queen's side keeping the initiative. After 8.Nf3 I understood I had chances and could create threats. Then I started playing really well."

Then Alisa confessed she is so concentrated on the current issues that she can't even remember what has happened in her games against Kovalevskaya. She was also asked how she feel about having only Russian opponents in the last two rounds. "I would prefer to have other rivals, - Galliamova answered. - As Katya, so Valya are very strong players. Pity I've ruined my friends' mood..."
